From a linguistic perspective, this is why I am impressed by (or at least, astonished by) LLMs!
As for accuracy, you review what it gives you, you don’t just copy and send it without review.
Yeah, I don’t get why so many people seem to not get that.
It’s like people who were against Intellisense in IDEs because “What if it suggests the wrong function?”…you still need to know what the functions do. If you find something you’re unfamiliar with, you check the documentation. You don’t just blindly accept it as truth.
Just because it can’t replace a person’s job doesn’t mean it’s worthless as a tool.
It’d take extra effort to remove the Git diff history, and I don’t think higher ups would know or the lower downs would care, lol
Most of these pages probably don’t change for years. And maybe not explicitly "revert"ing the change, but they’d know where to go back and find the text used for DEI stuff.
To add, GitHub is actually a great place to be making these changes, because with GitHub you retain history of the edits and prior versions. So after Trump changes his mind or loses power, the missing information can be brought back in fairly easily. Nothing is permanently lost.
I think you’re missing something here.
GitHub isn’t doing anything. It’s just a repository where people can track changes that are happening by end users. The end users are using GitHub and are removing DEI stuff from their products at the direction of the US government (AKA. Musk and Trump).
Being angry at Microsoft is like being angry at a grocery store chain because you saw a kid being told by his grandpa to feed stale bread (from that grocery store) to some ducks.
His action, intended to pressure Canada to curb fentanyl flows,
During the pandemic, when we (Canada) closed the borders, we saw an increase in fentanyl-related deaths.
Rather than being caused by mental wellbeing issues, it was believed to be caused by poorer drug supply (more impurities).
So if closing the border made our drugs worse-quality, isn’t the US the problem?
This is like the US closing the border because they’re worried about all the illegal guns crossing into the US from Canada…
I remember two passwords. My email and my password manager. Oh, and one of my banks.
Locking the key in the vault, or the backup vault, didn’t make sense to me. It also made sense for me to have access to one bank even if I lose both “vaults”.
[democrats coconut vibez are] The exact reason Donald Trump is president - so thank you for that.
“democrats coconut vibez” are Republicans and people who couldn’t be bothered to vote? Lol
My favourite part was one comment that said “If they simply let you turn off the Copilot stuff, you’d just be sitting there paying the increased fee”
What are “democrats coconut vibez”?
If they stop being exploited, they stop being able to pay their bills. Kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place.
In the past, the US was a country that could be depended on. The last 10 years have shown that to no longer be true.
I think the US will be going downhill in terms of international standing over the next few decades.
I’d rather support the Democrats than support Trump’s victory, which, if you didn’t vote, you have done. Congratulations on your “moral” victory.
Why would any politician care about people who don’t vote?
Historically, it’s easier for them to campaign in swing states than to get non-voters to vote.
As well, not voting doesn’t send a clear message. That might’ve been your message. 9,699,998 of the others might’ve just not voted for Harris because she’s a woman. Who knows? Not the politicians, because they’re not on Lemmy.
They’re making Nazi salutes over the heads of children
Since nazis hate jews by definition
That’s not the definition, that’s an association.
It’s like saying that the definition of an American is someone who hates tea. That’s a much older association (and the comparison is tongue-in-cheek), but this kind of thing isn’t how definitions work.
In a 2-party system, a vote for one party makes the other party more likely to lose (depending on where you live etc).
A vote for a third-party is effectively not much different than spoiling your ballot. It says you’re okay with sacrificing your vote to send a message, but you don’t care which of the two parties wins. Either is fine for you.
Not voting is worse than voting third-party or spoiling your ballot. It sends the message that either of the 2 parties is fine for you. That’s it.
So consider that if you think you sent a message against the Democrats with your vote. Because most people probably just sent the message that they don’t care if Trump wins, and they don’t care if Harris wins.
Not to start a rumour, but is it illegal to ask if Musk might be a pedophile?
