CrowdEnglish31·1 day agoOr I used a well-known movie scene to poke at historically violent people using violence to score political points. Noting hypocrisy in a group is not to stoop to their level.
Could be an out-of-stater for all we know

Maybe you can’t wrap your head around that, but some can.

If you’ve been paying attention to what’s happened since, it’s hard to believe it could be worse.

no one is going to hate you
There are some agitators out there who will villify anything, but for the most part you’re right
You’re aware that the overwhelming majority of murderers are right-wingers, right?
This is just the trolley problem. If you can save 5 people by killing 1, is it correct to do so, or take no action?
Well, we’ve got lots of people taking no action, and look where that’s got us.
If you truly believe that, step 1 is to write your lawmakers and urge them to abolish the death penalty. Step 2 is to urge law enforcement to give up their guns. Step 3 is to convince every standing military on Earth to stand down and disband.
If you refuse to even try to do the above, then clearly you don’t believe what you’re saying here.
If you want to talk about democracy surviving, step one is removal of anyone trying to dismantle democracy.
That removal does not need to be by death, of course. A court system can imprison or deport such a person… if they’re fair.
The infrastructure for democracy is already there. It’s just been shelved temporarily by the current admin.
AP has reported it now
That depends on who is emboldened by the news.
Right-wingers might “good riddance, I got mine”
Left-wingers might “hey, we could get democracy back”
Maybe a simpler way would be “my reaction when terrible people die”
