To be fair, I don’t even consider solar and wind power to be renewable. But then again I’m the sort of weirdo that considers things on astronomical timescales.

The fascism persists only because it promises to be of benefit to its supporters.
Fascism falls apart when it fails to deliver them tangible benefits.
Trump’s coalition is a house divided, he cannot provide his billionaire sycophants with economic benefits without taking them away from his voting base, and he can’t do economic populism without disadvantaging the billionaires.
We’re already seeing this with the H1-B visa debate. Musk, Zuckerberg, and Thiel want them for the cheap exploitable labor, and non-rich Republicans want the program to end for both anti-immigrant and economic nationalism reasons.
If the Democrats were allowed to be competent then they’d be hammering on this contradiction 'til the Republicans lose all their electoral relevance, but they won’t because they’re faced with the same contradiction among their own supporters.
After he got what he wanted from Trump, who capitulated immediately because the threat to tarrif Columbian imports was a bluff. Deliberately bumping the cost of coffee would be political suicide.
Syncopoli on the f-droid store supports both ssh and rsync. That’ll cover your android for free.
If Kamala was in office now then Trump would be a shoe-in for 2028.
I think I prefer our current reality where the Democrats might actually be forced to move left to reclaim their electoral relevance. They aren’t of any use to me so long as they care more about bipartisanship and meeting Republicans halfway than actually addressing the pressing issues of our time.
If Kamala had won, all we’d be talking about today would be Jan 6th 2, the inauguration day terror attacks, and how the Democrats are already bending over backwards to capitulate to petulant Republicans.
Hey, maybe if the genocide comes here the Democrats will stop supporting it.
…Nah, who are we kidding? The Dems will just keep compromising in the hopes of appeasing the billionaire owners of this country.
So you admit that a vote for either Democrats or republivans was a vote for genocide… and you’re still blaming the voters for failing to vote for genocide?
Make it make sense.
And who picks the candidates that voters are allowed to vote for?
As opposed to a spyware app owned by the local government that’s designed to sow discord and destabilize any opposition to the local oligarchs?
Seems to me that, for most people, there’s more personal risk in being spied on by local cops than foreign ones.
“Renewable” is just a word they came up with to keep us from doing something about the fact that the sun will grow into a red giant with a diameter larger than Earth’s orbit.
