I wish someone actually had an answer for this. I also wonder what happened.
That’s why it’s broke
Nah, I teach adult immigrants, so if they don’t show up, that’s their business. As for time, I don’t know that I really consider that math.
Either way, counting and time are two things that republicans politicians also have to do, tallying up the votes in congress and figuring out exactly how long they can draw that process out. At some point, I suspect they’ll give up vote tallying, but we’re not there quite yet.
I like math quite a lot, but I don’t really use it in my job as a language teacher. I guess there’s a small amount of addition and division in grading, but there are also programs that automatically do that for you.
I know I have some strong biases that lean towards peace, and I’m confused sometimes why a comment of mine in the fediverse gathers double digit upvotes steadily only to plummet to the negatives overnight. I get old reddit botnet vibes on some topics.
That’s probably time zones. I’m in Europe, and I’ve noticed that if I post something that’s not in line with mainline American thinking, I’ll wake up to a bunch of downvotes. The same could be true for Oceania/Asia or Europe/africa, depending on where you are.
YouTube was launched in 2005, as a way to share clips of Janet Jackson’s breast from the superbowl halftime show. The founders worked at PayPal, so I guess we can blame Peter Thiel once again
I like baldness and body hair! They should be optional too
I have a sensory thing about tags, only purchase undecorated, monochrome clothing, and have worn the paint off of my water bottle. Plus, I make my own lunch and pack it in metal Tupperware whose branding is also worn away. It’s wild to me that there’s an application for being a fucking weirdo, but I don’t have any visible ads on my person.
Plus all of the other, more active forms of voter suppression, like banning felons from voting, surprise deregistrations, sending absentee ballots out late, and requiring people to wait multiple hours while forbidding people from giving them food or water.

The service is apparently signalhire
Well yeah, but that was addressed in the comment I responded to :)
Plus, it’d suck for at least four months a year
NBC requires them, and neither ABC nor fox has a banner for me (in the eu, so either they automatically collect nothing or they break the law and don’t tell you- at least for fox, I suspect the latter is more likely, given that the UK based Murdoch news network, news.co.uk, does have a banner). CBS does not require them though, so I guess there’s that.
They don’t include cookie paywalls, which most news websites do
Sure, that podcast sucks, but podcasts are generally more accessible than broadcast news. If you don’t have a TV and don’t want your data mined, the big news stations of the 20th century aren’t really an option. The medium itself isn’t the problem imo, there are lots of great news podcasts
That reason is that they don’t want to other themselves. If there’s no gender connotation with the room you choose, there’s no issue. Trans people are absolutely pushing for unisex bathrooms, and most women (cis and trans) are willing to use the men’s room when the other line is long enough.
I’ve seen women doing the same thing in bathrooms, because everyone is sometimes a mess, regardless of gender.
That’s not inherently a bad thing, imo. They should be meeting people where they are, and if people listen to podcasts more than watching broadcast news, then they should have correspondents for that medium.
Honestly, if they’d finessed their phrasing a little, that could have been a really good answer.
