  • Tin foil hat on

Because our society is moving more towards a post-truth reality. Ffs, the then vice president candidate stood in front of a grocery shelf to talk about how egg prices were $4, when the label behind him clearly says “$2.99”

Companies aren’t here to make life better. They are here to make money.

Every few months they would say, “Ugh the global supply chain is tightening” to prepare to raise prices.

All the while on their earnings calls they talk about how much profit they made in the last quarter.

  • the House of Representatives calls on the Department of Justice— (A) to prosecute these crimes of domestic terrorism (as such term is defined in section 2331 of title 18, United States Code) by Antifa; and (B) to use all available tools and resources to combat the spread of domestic terrorism (as such term is defined in section 2331 of title 18, United States Code) committed by Antifa.

  • According to new lending startups, your social media activity and how low you let your phone battery get can be read as signs of creditworthiness, making loans available to those who may not have qualified otherwise

It’s a native friend request that you make through discord. The vulnerability lies in the attacker making a unique pfp for each request, forcing the CDN to cache the pfp at the closest data center to the user.

I would agree that it’s not fully deanonymizing but it could resurrect tracking Elon and other billionaires.

  • It shows you the power of branding. I remember that there was a study where kids were given a regular hamburger in a McDonald’s wrapper and the same hamburger by itself and kids overwhelming said McDonald’s tasted better.

I think they even replicated the experiment where the McDonald’s hamburger was unwrapped and kids still preferred the McDonald’s wrapped burger.

  • I’ve been listening to a lot of TV and movie podcasts. Fake food is often more expensive than real food. Unless there is a good reason, food is more often than not real.

    But it’s rarely eaten.

Actors have to do several takes and if they eat in the shot, they have to eat in every shot. A lot of young actors who don’t know often learn this very early in their career to never eat the food because they will forever be sick of it.
