I’m doing something similar, I have a computer in my office for work and a laptop at home for personal use and a bit of work.

I have a config shared between the two computers, they share similar modules but also have their own specificities.

This way when I configure VSCode for example I get the configuration synced on both.

For synching my files I’m using a synology NAS.

Something like that happened to “a friend”. During a several day hike, a #2 in the wood was wiped a bit too hastily and some of it was missed.

Now the remnant bits dried and glued the hair from both cheeks together, during the hike after that my “friend” could feel the hairs being pulled from one side to another at each step he was taking.
