I think it’s implied that having spent enough time with R2, he eventually picks it up. I know that according to the lore, all X-wings are equipped with a translator, so that pilots can understand their astromechs. Given enough time flying together, it makes sense that Luke would need the translator less and less.

Not to mention it just helps move the story along, considering all the scenes they spend alone together in ESB, without C3PO. In a New Hope, C3PO is always around to translate when R2 has something to say.

I don’t think he understood binary during a New Hope. C3PO has to translate for R2 when they first meet.

That’s not actually as true as people have been led to believe. If cow farts were really such a large factor, then we would have already been having a climate change issue, based simply on the natural dietary habits of grazing animals.

The majority of the emissions attributed to the meat industry are due to background factors involved in their care and upkeep. It’s a very resource heavy process, that produces an enormous amount of waste. They include everything in their assessments, from their food production, all the way down to heating and electricity requirements for their facilities. Depending on the area, that can be as bad as coal-burning power plants and diesel engines to harvest hay. Nothing about the meat industry is “clean”.

Most of the problem with meat production comes from the way we produce meat, rather than the amount. Which is inevitably dictated by big money interests, simply being allowed to do whatever they want, in order to maximize profit margins.

They’re only meaningful if the rest of us allow that to happen.

If that’s how you feel, then all laws mean pretty much nothing. The only reason any of it matters, is if we all agree to abide by them. Technically, anyone can commit any crime, at any time. The rest of us need to hold those people accountable, or as you said…none of it matters.

It still wouldn’t work. If the system is set up to deny service when a VPN is detected, then it doesn’t matter where you’re connected, or if you’re hosting or not.

This never worked for me. It would always detect my VPN and alarm out. Even when I was logged in from my own country. If it was on, I was locked out.
