I’ve made the same mistake before, but no. It’s not

Oh, that guy.
I’m American and honestly this is the first time I’ve heard “hoopty”. I usually go with shitbox or beater, and I also hear the older generations use “jalopy” sometimes
Firm agree. Still great comic
Tbh I didn’t consider that he wasn’t having a heart attack until your reply
True. Even ignoring that though, chic fil a is fine at best but overrated if you ask me. Their best menu item is the shakes, everything else is mid. Not bad just mid.
This is why I don’t agree with the “lemmy is cozy, it doesn’t need to grow” point of view. There’s always specific, largely defederated instances that provide that cozy feeling, but I really want decentralized platforms to replace the corporate ones. If that’s ever going to happen, the fediverse needs to grow.
Talk about a third degree burn, youch
Probably just got sleepy
Yes that’s a big part of one of the three branches
Not to mention, really hard tires would have very poor grip. The rubber needs to be a bit softer to squish around all of the little imperfections in the road, technically increasing the contact area and providing a little lateral bracing (probably not the right term so I hope I’m making sense). This is why a lot of performance tires have shorter lifespans then other tire types, because in addition to a different tread pattern, they also often use a softer, “stickier” rubber, which wears out faster.
Seriously, I’m actually pacing I’m so fucking pissed. Dude throws two heils with conviction and everyone there just claps and chears?
Imagine walking face-first into an invisible spiderweb
That’s where I’m at. If in an alternate universe Congress did something like banning the distribution of harvested data, even just to foreign entities, and TikTok then refused to comply, then I’d be fully in support with them getting banned for it.
Here in the real world though, Congress apparently doesn’t have the balls to pass blanket privacy rights like that, because you see, that’d catch some of the wrong fish. I think it says a lot about the state of modern social media that all they were willing to go after TikTok for was something as nebulous as “national security risk”.
I’ve dailyed six manual cars and two of them didn’t have a tach (both Fords?), and one of those was too old to even have a shift light. Honestly, even when I was new I barely looked at the tach when I had one anyway, and I didn’t really start to look at until I learned how to really get good at rev-matching for heal-toe and dropping gears. I just shift by ear and ass like 90% of the time.
Imo it was for while after it was released, and even for awhile after it switched to chromium, but it got bloated with extra features really quick over the last few years. Weird sidebars, copilot, coupon-enterring stuff, etc. Granted a lot of that can be disabled, but still, the only new feature I like so far is tab groups. I try to use Firefox as much as I can but use edge from time to time when the website I need insists on a chromium browser or has issues in Firefox.
